activation code not working

Hi, Have registered to join and received the email link but after clicking the link it takes me to the page where you either have to enter email address to resend activation code or type in the activation code, but that takes you back to the box you just filled in, if i try to log in at the top of page it says my email address has to be validated.
Have had the activation code resent 5 times and still not working - why would they resend the same activation code 5 times when that code is not working?

any help would be great, thanks.
