I have been looking for an exchange for I don't know how long now. I'm desperate to move back to Milton Keynes but seems no one wants to live in Banbury (it's a small town) also...I live in a flat & people seem to want houses.
I believe I'm going to be stuck here and I want to go back to be with my family!

What are the next steps to finding somewhere if you can't get an exchange and private renting is too expensive??

I wish there was an easy answer for this. Unfortunately there isn't...I know you can feel despair at the length of time that this process takes. I'm sure I'm probably stating the obvious but try for a multi exchange. Sometimes, it's the only way forward. How long have you been trying now?

I've been looking for 3-way, 4-way and 5 too if not more everyday for the past 2 years. I can link together & get serious swappers whom I stay in good contact with. Only it's finding that someone who wants Banbury. When you do find someone they don't want a flat (even though it's a new build & gorgeous) it don't have a garden. I even go abroad on holiday and find myself still looking for that swap online! Driving me nuts!!

God, sounds like a nightmare for you. It is so damn frustrating...just even trying to get people to come & have a look can be almost impossible sometimes. I really hope that you get that one link that clicks at last.

Thank you! Me too. I ended up sending an email to the housing in Milton Keynes but I doubt they'll respond or even give me advice on the next steps. Worth a try though

Hey...anything's worth a try. I've been completely desperate myself and it's taken me ages to set this latest exchange up...the constant emailing to everyone....the visiting...the constant letdowns...it's a nightmare the heartbreak you go through. What seems so easy in theory is often damn difficult in practise. I just hope something turns up for you.
